Allisons Letter

Dear Ladies,

Teardrops – I have shed many of them lately, some with joy and some with great sorrow. If tears are the liquid that clean our eyes, then my eyes must be very clean.  Tears not only clean our eyes but they help heal our hearts.  The Bible tell us that there will be tears here on earth, but for the believer there will be no tears in heaven, because God will wipe them away. I am looking forward to that day.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4

Our church has been faced with much sorrow as we said goodbye to two of our staff missionaries. Bob died this August and Bill died in October. These men are truly missed. I think about them often and tears build up in my eyes as I record and deposit the monthly support checks for our staff missionaries.

This fall has also brought tears, but tears of joy.  Elaine and Elijah turned another year older. We had a great day at the park to celebrate with yummy sandwiches and cupcakes. I went to a local pumpkin patch with Donna and the grandchildren. Donna and I laughed as their choice of pumpkins become smaller and smaller as we walked back across the field to the station to pay for their pumpkins. My youngest granddaughter, Emmie, celebrated her first birthday. All of my children and grandchildren were able to come to the party to celebrate with her. We also received very special news which made the tears of joy flow – James and Caitlyn announced that they were expecting another baby in June.   James, Caity, Gina, and David’s fiancé, Morgan, also celebrated birthdays, but low key. And David gives me another reason the rejoice. He is nearly half way through his final year of school. Graduation is set for May, then a wedding.

I continue to stay busy for the Lord and with my grandchildren. As times passes, I move forward with my life with less tears for the things I am unable to change. I am truly blessed by my family and friends.  I thank the Lord every day for His continuous care for me and my family.  I would ask that you continue to pray for my family and I. The Lord knows what we need better than we know ourselves.

Until we shed no more tears in Heaven, may we draw closer to the Lord and Him to us.

Love and Prayers,

Debra
