To Czech Republic and Back Again

Allisons Letter

Dear Ladies,

ABC and 123 are the fundamentals for our success in reading, writing, and arithmetic, and then there is Czech. So where do you find the letter ‘Ch’ in the dictionary?  Just kidding, I know where to find it.  As I look around I wonder , actually I do not have to wonder; just how many people have their future all planned out, they have read, written, and added everything into their plans, except the fundamentals of eternity.

1 John 5:13  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

We are continuing with our Bible campaign. We have changed too another park near the train station.  Two week ago we placed four Bibles on the benches; we passed by the park an hour later to find that all the Bibles had been taken.  What a blessing, but the greatest blessing was to see a man sitting on one of the benches reading the Bible that we had left behind.

It seems that all of our children and grandchildren are doing well.  They are all into so much, Donna’s job, James’s summer internship interview and Tigerhack competition, Lydia, Lilibeth, Elaina, and Elijah’s school subjects and activities, and there is Gina.  Gina has written a book called Whither Shall I Go?. I do not usually read novels, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading her book.  I have just a few more pages to read before I am finished.  Gina has her book for sale on Amazon.  If you enjoy novels, you will enjoy her book.  I am looking forward to the sequel.

David and Jeff are working together on David’s Pre-calculus.  They seem to have a system that works.  David seems to understand it for the most part.  Some days are more difficult than other, but they keep working at it until they get it right.  David asked me the other day if he could go back to arithmetic, of course, I told him no. We had not come this far to go backwards. This will be my last year of homeschooling. I have thought about tutoring, but not in mathematics, it’s not my cup of tea.

Speaking of tea, I think I will finish drinking my cup and finish reading Whither Shall I Go? by Gina Holder. Until next time, keep those ABC’s and 123’s before your mind and your eyes on the Lord.

Love and prayers,

Debra
